What is QSAC’s seating capacity?
The official seating capacity of the Main Stadium is 48,500.  The State Athletics Facility has a seating capacity of 2,100.

Can I hire out a function space at QSAC?

Can I hire out QSAC for a particular event or activity?
QSAC is capable of staging a wide range of small and large scale events, as well as activities such as film shoots, corporate days, product launches and more. To enquire about hiring the stadium, please visit our Facility and Event Hire page or Contact Us directly.

How do I find out about upcoming events at QSAC?

Can I smoke inside QSAC?
QSAC is a smoke-free venue. Patrons must exit the Main Stadium or State Athletics Facility and be beyond 5m of an entry point if they wish to smoke. This includes vaping.

What happens when bad weather is forecast for an event?
QSAC is an outdoor, open-air facility. An event may be delayed if adverse weather is experienced, however, this decision is determined by the event organiser.  Patrons should check QSAC’s Facebook for updated details, and prepare for wet weather by bringing jackets or ponchos as these are unavailable to be purchased on site. Umbrellas are generally permitted into the venue. However, if you are attending a Major Event at the venue, please refer to the event specific conditions of entry found on the event listing on the What's On page.

How do I purchase event tickets?
Some events taking place at QSAC are ticketed. Please check event details on the What’s On section of our website for further information.

Can I bring my dog to QSAC?
Dogs are not permitted inside the Main Stadium or State Athletics Facility. However, dogs on a lead are welcome in the QSAC precinct. Certified service animals accompanying a person for the purpose of support are permitted. Copies of certification may be required.  

Patrons may be subject to bag checks prior to entering the venue. Please refer to our Conditions of Entry for a full list of permitted and prohibited items. 

What food and drink can I bring into QSAC?
Patrons are not permitted to bring food or beverage products from commercial outlets into the venue.  Homemade food, bottled water with an unbroken factory seal (up to 1.25L personal quantities only) in plastic bottles and tea and coffee in a thermos are permitted. Other liquids are not permitted. Otherwise, patrons can bring in empty water bottles which can be filled with water at the designated water stations in the venue.

It is a condition of the liquor licence that alcohol cannot be brought into the venue.

Can I bring in a backpack?
Bags are permitted inside QSAC but may be subject to a bag check on entry. 

Can I bring in an esky?
Hard and soft eskies are permitted as long as they fit under your seat. 

Can I bring in my camera?
Patrons are not permitted to bring in cameras with a focal lens of greater than 200mm except where permitted by Venue Management (in its discretion), video and/or audio recorders, commercial digital equipment, camera tripods and/or monopods. Unless expressly authorised by the content owner (for example, the hirer), patrons are not permitted to transmit, broadcast, sell, license or otherwise publish, disseminate or reproduce any recordings (including photographic, video or sound recordings) of the event they are attending.  The content owner reserves the right to confiscate or erase prohibited recording or images.  

Can I bring my child’s stroller into QSAC?
We encourage patrons to consider leaving their pram or push chair at home, However, should you wish to bring your pram or push chair it must be collapsible and fit under your seat (either a single seat or within the group of seats of patrons attending the venue together).  The pram or push chair must remain there for the duration of the event.

Can I bring hot drinks into QSAC?
Thermoses containing tea and coffee are allowed. These may be checked by security due to liquor licencing requirements.

I have a medical condition that requires me to bring in something on the prohibited list. What should I do?
If you would like to bring in a prohibited item due to medical reasons, please contact us prior to attending the event on 07 3405 7511 or info@qsac.com.au

Can I park at QSAC?
There are limited public car parks available for most events.  Please allow plenty of time to access car parking on site.  Once capacity has been reached, you may be directed off site.

During major events at QSAC, a 15 minute parking restriction applies in the local Robertson/MacGregor Traffic Area and no parking is available at the venue.

Is there accessibility parking at QSAC?
There is limited accessibility parking at QSAC. Please seek assistance from our friendly staff if required.

Patrons who have purchased accessible seating tickets for major events at QSAC will need to contact the venue on (07) 3405 7511 if they wish to book a car space. Limited accessibility parking is available during major events.

What is the closest bus stop to QSAC?
The closest bus stops are Mains Road Park and Ride and Kessels Road stop 57. There are also a number of other bus stops in QSAC area. Visit Translink to plan your journey.

How do I book an PWD or accessibility ticket for a major event at QSAC?
For major events at QSAC, accessibility tickets can be purchased directly through the ticketing agent for the event. If you would like to book an accessible ticket, please contact the ticketing agent directly. 

Is PWD or accessible seating available at QSAC?
Accessibility seating may be available at QSAC.  Please contact the venue on 07 3405 7511 if you require additional information or assistance.

Are accessible toilets at QSAC?
Accessible toilets are located throughout QSAC. Please see the friendly event staff to locate the closest accessible toilet.

Do you have a public phone?
There are no public phones available in the QSAC Precinct.

Are there water bubblers inside QSAC?
Water bubblers are available on level 2 of the Western Grandstand within the Main Stadium as well as on the ground level around the Athletics track. The State Athletics Facility also has water bubblers located around the track. 

Are there parents’ rooms and baby changing facilities inside QSAC?
There are no parents’ room at QSAC. Baby changing facilities are located in the Female and Male Toilets on Level 2 of the Western Grandstand, the Female and Male Toilets in Car Park 3 and in the Female Toilets in the State Athletics Facility.

Do you have ATMs?
There are no ATMs available in the QSAC precinct.

Do you have First Aid facilities?
Contact our friendly staff if you require assistance with First Aid.   

Where can I go to collect lost property?
Items left at the Venue can be collected from QSAC Venue Management Office during regular business hours.
