Public Training is popular for training for junior and high performance athletes, and members of the public. Coaches and athletes are welcome to attend, alongside anyone wishing to complete their own training.

QSAC features two international standard ten lane athletics tracks that each have the following facilities available during public training:
- discus cage
- hammer cage
- high jump mats with uprights and crossbar
- pole vault mat with uprights and crossbar
- shot put circles
- javelin runways
- long jump/triple jump pits
- training hurdles
Please note that while we strive to offer these facilities, their availability cannot be guaranteed at all times. As a community, it's important that we all collaborate and share these spaces responsibly.
- All users are to abide by the Venue’s standard Conditions of Entry which can viewed here.
- All athletes are to have a valid entry ticket.
- Spikes
To maximise performance and prevent damage to the Rekortan track surface, the permitted type and length of spikes are as per the table below:
- Lap runners are to run in an anti-clockwise direction.
- Sleds are not approved on the track unless approved by Venue Management.
- Divots are to be replaced with the sand provided.
- Practice hammer turns are not permitted outside of the hammer cage.
- The running rail is not to be removed.
- Pole vault and high jump mat covers are to be put back in place at the completion of training.
- Stair running is not permitted in the grandstands.
- Bicycles are not permitted.
- Sports balls are not permitted.
- Filming and photography is not permitted unless approved by Venue Management.
