QSAC welcomed approximately 2,100 athletes recently for the first of three Brisbane Paladin fitness races throughout 2026.

Held on 9 and 10 May, this was second time the Brisbane-founded event was hosted at QSAC, with another two rounds locked in for July and September 2026.

Designed for everyday athletes to test their speed, endurance and strength, the competition had the QSAC grounds buzzing, with more than 500 spectators in the venue to cheer on competitors.

QSAC Events Manager Erica Kennedy said the Paladin competition highlights the venue’s versatility.

“While QSAC is the home to Queensland’s high-performance sport, we’re also proud to welcome a wide range of community events, from school music events like Megaband 2026 to exhilarating fitness races such as Paladin,” Ms Kennedy said.

“As we head into the cooler months, we’re excited to not only welcome Paladin back again, but also a whole host of schools from across Brisbane for their annual athletics carnivals.”
